If you are using SSH, there is a big chance that you are using PuTTY. Sometimes, PuTTY users have difficulties to copy/paste shell commands. So, we will explain how to copy/paste text.
To copy and paste from within PuTTY, simply highlight the text you want to copy, position your cursor at the place you want to paste the text and press the right mouse button. If you're editing a document using a text editor, such as Nano or Vi, you can also use the editor's cut and paste functionality. Here, click on the “Copy” option to copy the content. You can also go to the toolbar at the top of your Mac’s screen and select the “Copy” option from the “Edit” menu (if available). Now, go to the place where you want to paste the content and right click on your mouse or trackpad. Here, select the “Paste” option.
